Job summary

CW Group is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator – Leave and Employee Support at our New Britain, CT site. The role focuses on administering and coordinating FMLA, ADA accommodations, state leaves, and related medical documentation, serving as the primary liaison for employees, managers, and providers.

You will handle case management, maintain records, ensure regulatory compliance, and support a positive employee experience through accurate, confidential guidance and timely responses.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in administering or coordinating FMLA, ADA accommodations, leaves of absence, and return-to-work processes.
  • Experience communicating with employees, managers, healthcare providers, and third-party admins.
  • Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, and accommodation processes.

Location: New Britain, CT
Schedule: Monday to Friday varying from 8:00am to 8:00pm
Work Model: Onsite
Pay: $22.63/hourly

The primary focus of this role is administering and coordinating employee leaves of absence and workplace accommodations. This position serves as the central point of contact for employees, managers, and healthcare providers regarding FMLA, ADA accommodations, state leaves, return-to-work activities, medical documentation, and compliance-related case management.

As the Human Resources Coordinator - Leave and Employee Support, you'll help employees navigate some of the most important moments in their employment journey. Through your support, guidance, and attention to detail, you'll help create a positive employee experience while ensuring people feel informed, supported, and valued every step of the way.

In This Role, You’ll Be A:
  • Leave & Benefits Coordinator: Supporting employees through FMLA, ADA accommodations, leaves of absence, return-to-work processes, benefits enrollment, qualifying life events, and benefit-related questions while helping ensure a positive and compliant employee experience.
  • Case Records & Compliance Specialist: Coordinating leave and accommodation cases, maintaining required documentation, tracking deadlines, supporting regulatory compliance efforts, preparing correspondence, and ensuring accurate case records throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Records Specialist: Maintaining employee personnel files and HRIS records, processing employee data changes, supporting document retention practices, ensuring data accuracy, and safeguarding confidential employee information.
  • Problem Solver: Researching questions, finding solutions, and helping employees navigate HR processes with confidence.
Required Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in administering or coordinating:
    • FMLA, ADA accommodations, Leave of absence, Return to Work processes, and Medical documentation tracking.
  • Experience managing employee leave and accommodation cases from intake through resolution.
  • Experience communicating with employees, managers, healthcare providers, and third-party administrators regarding leave and accommodation matters.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, and reasonable accommodation processes.
  • Experience maintaining confidential employee medical records and compliance documentation.
Bonus If You Have These Skills:
  • Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Management, or a related field.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR-related certifications or coursework.
  • Experience using case management, leave administration, or HRIS systems to track accommodation requests, leaves of absence, and employee compliance documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, competing deadlines, and employee requests in a fast-paced environment.

This role is heavily focused on leave administration and ADA accommodations. Candidates should have direct experience supporting leave of absence programs, accommodation processes, case management, or employee benefits administration.

Physical & Environmental Demands:
  • Office Environment: This position is primarily based in a professional office environment and requires full-time on-site attendance.   • Mobility and Physical Requirements: The position requires occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting or moving items weighing up to 20 pounds, such as personnel files, office supplies, onboarding materials, or training resources. Occasional movement throughout the facility may be required.
  • Confidentiality and Ethics: The role involves handling sensitive information and requires strict adherence to confidentiality protocols and ethical standards.
  • Travel: Limited local travel may be required on an occasional basis for business-related activities, meetings, trainings, or visits to nearby company locations.
