We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator based in our Detroit, MI office who will be responsible for providing administrative support to all functions of the Human Resources department. This is an exciting opportunity to gain broad exposure to all areas of Human Resources!

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Serves as first point of contact for various benefit and HR policy questions
  2. Provides timely assistance and information for a variety of human resources inquiries to include benefits, payroll and policies
  3. Maintains applicant tracking system for staff recruiting, reviews and screens resumes, coordinates interviews
  4. Creates candidate offer letters for staff
  5. Coordinates staff onboarding and offboarding
  6. Supports leave of absence administration
  7. Assists in preparing communication materials for benefits, recruiting, policy updates and compensation administration
  8. Regular benefit invoice review and administration
  9. Annual and quarterly reporting and notifications for compliance
  10. Creates and maintains accurate and compliant human resource records
  11. Assist in processing employment verifications
  12. Provides overall administrative support to and backs up various human resource functions as needed
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Stays abreast of current human resource practices and compliance standards
  2. Proactively engages in recommending best practices along with idea and knowledge sharing
Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree required in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. 1+ years general human resources experience
  3. General knowledge of human resource practices and compliance
  4. Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload, handle multiple requests simultaneously and the ability to meet deadlines
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, HRIS knowledge desirable
  6. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to handle conflict and urgent matters. Must have excellent interpersonal relationship skills
  7. Strong analytic aptitude
  8. Collaborative team spirit
  9. Attention to detail and process driven
  10. Values and respects confidentiality with integrity by handling sensitive information
