Job Summary

The HR Business Partner will be responsible for managing and enhancing the employee experience with our client. This role focuses on onboarding new hires, fostering strong employee relations, developing and enforcing HR policies, implementing training programs, and driving performance management initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who can create a positive and structured work environment while ensuring compliance with HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Develop and execute a structured onboarding program to integrate new employees effectively.
  • Ensure new hires have a smooth transition by coordinating orientation sessions, paperwork, and introductions to company culture.
  • Conduct check-ins with new employees to assess engagement and address any early concerns.

Employee Relations & Culture Development

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace issues.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by implementing engagement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular employee feedback sessions and provide recommendations for workplace improvements.
  • Develop, update, and enforce company HR policies to ensure a fair and compliant workplace.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.

Training & Development

  • Implement training programs for employees at all levels, focusing on skill development and career growth.
  • Work with department managers to identify training needs and create customized learning opportunities.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions on company policies, leadership, safety, and professional development.

Performance Management & Employee Growth

  • Oversee and enhance the performance review process, ensuring clear expectations and feedback mechanisms.
  • Coach managers on best practices for employee evaluations, goal-setting, and professional development.
  • Track and analyze performance trends, providing recommendations for employee growth strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in the landscaping, construction, or heavier non-exempt employee populations and less structured HR departments.
  • Experience with ADP.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, employee relations, onboarding best practices, and performance management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a hands-on, approachable leadership style.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience with HR software and tools for onboarding, training, and performance tracking.
