Job summary

Kiefer Sage is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a liaison between HR and operations in Rogers, AR. The role covers recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll support, employee relations, and performance management.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in HR, at least three years of HR experience, and familiarity with payroll systems (ADP preferred). Full-time hours are Monday–Friday, with some flexibility for travel or overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Stay updated on HR trends, laws, and regulations affecting the workforce.
  • Review job descriptions to ensure alignment with open positions.
  • Assist with screening and interviewing as needed.
  • Develop HR policies aligned with company strategies and goals.
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource on policy interpretation, leaves, workers' comp, investigations, and pay-related issues.
  • Coach and counsel management on employee relations and development.

The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP), or HR Business Partner, acts as a liaison between HR and the rest of the company. While their main responsibility is to ensure that HR initiatives align with the company’s overall business needs, they also play a part in managing the full employee lifecycle. Including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll support, employee relations, and performance management

Essential Functions:

  • Benefits Administration: enrollments, changes, vendor coordination, and answering employee questions
  • Performance management support: administer review cycles, track goals, and coach managers and employees on the process
  • Project leadership – design and lead HR projects and initiatives that help move the department and company forward
  • Stay up to date on HR trends and best practices, as well as employment laws and regulations
  • Responsible for reviewing job descriptions to ensure they adequately describe open positions
  • Staying abreast of staffing needs and providing feedback about recent hiring successes and challenges
  • Develop strategies to strengthen relationships between HR and the rest of the company
  • Assisting with the screening and interviewing process as needed
  • Writing and revising HR policies to ensure alignment with company strategies and goals
  • Acts as trusted resource to managers and employees on a wide variety of human resources topics, including policy interpretation, benefits, medical leaves, workers' compensation, employee investigations, and pay-related issues
  • Coaches and counsels management on employee relations issues, performance management, and employee and team development

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

This job operates mainly in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

This job also operates in manufacturing and warehouse environments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to vibrations from pneumatic tools, noise, and forklift traffic. The heat level is high in the summer months. Personal Protective Equipment such as safety glasses and gloves are required in some areas. Hearing protection is provided but not required.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some lifting, bending, stooping, and standing is necessary. Mental alertness and long periods of concentration.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Travel, evening, and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources.
  • Experience with ADP or other payroll systems is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in HR is preferred.
