Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for the Integrated Drivetrain Energy Solutions (IDES) to support roughly 800 global employees.

You will align HR practices with business goals, act as an advisor to leaders, and drive initiatives that foster a positive employee experience. You will collaborate with HR and Communications professionals, promote engagement, manage performance, and lead organizational change while working closely with global partners.

As the Human Resources Business Partner for the Caterpillar Integrated Drivetrain Energy Solutions (IDES), you will collaborate with an incredible team of HR and Communications professionals to support approximately 800 global employees, aligning HR practices with business goals to support organizational success. You will serve as a trusted advisor and consultant on a wide range of HR policies and practices, and you will find yourself accomplishing a wide variety of fun, challenging, and meaningful work as you lead initiatives that foster a positive employee experience.

What You Will Do:

• Collaborating with management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
• Aligning HR policies and programs to promote employee engagement, retention, and performance.
• Acting as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR‑related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits, etc.
• Analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data‑driven recommendations to management.
• Support organizational change initiatives by applying change management principles.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement by providing coaching and feedback.
• Facilitate conflict resolution, inquiries, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Work with global HR partners and process owners.

What You Will Have:

• Human Resources Consulting: Knowledge of HR approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR‑related initiatives.
• HR: Policies, Standards and Procedures: Knowledge of human resource function; ability to uphold the organization's and industry's standards, procedures, and policies regarding human resources management.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision‑making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
• Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
• Global Perspective: Knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace; ability to apply global perspectives appropriately in a wide range of situations.

• Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
• Employee Relations: Knowledge of the rights and obligations in the employee relations; ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.

• Experience presenting complex themes to audiences at various levels within an organization
• Demonstrated interest in learning and applying AI tools and technologies to improve efficiency, support data‑driven decision‑making, and drive continuous improvement
• Extensive experience with analysis and reporting
• Outstanding judgment and creative problem‑solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Degree or equivalent experience desired

• Location: Irving, TX or Mossville, IL
• This position requires being in office 5 days a week
• Domestic Relocation is available for those who qualify

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
