Your Job

As an HR Business Partner supporting the Optical Solutions Business Unit (OSBU), you will serve as a strategic advisor to leaders, helping shape talent strategies, organizational design, and employee development initiatives that support a rapidly growing business. You will partner closely with leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and key talent initiatives, including succession planning, leadership development, rotational programs, and university recruiting efforts. Leveraging data and insights, you will influence workforce planning, talent reviews, retention strategies, and other people-related decisions that support long-term business growth. In this highly visible role, you'll proactively identify opportunities, recommend solutions, and help build the talent capabilities needed to achieve the organization's goals.

Our Team

You will join the HR team supporting Molex's Optical Solutions Business Unit (OSBU), a fast-growing organization focused on enabling next-generation optical connectivity solutions. This role is dedicated to supporting the Wavelengths business, partnering closely with engineering, product management, and technical marketing leaders primarily based in Fremont, CA, while collaborating with HR partners across North America. As a trusted business partner and the primary HR resource for Wavelengths leadership, you will play a key role in building talent pipelines, developing future leaders, and helping the organization scale for continued growth. You'll work in a highly collaborative environment where initiative, curiosity, and innovative ideas are encouraged and valued.

What You Will Do
Strategic Business Partnership
  • Partner closely with leadership to understand business priorities, technology roadmap, and talent needs, translating them into effective people strategies
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to supervisors on organization design, manpower planning, and scaling teams in support of growth and innovation.
Talent & Performance Management
  • Coach managers on setting clear RREs (roles, responsibilities and expectations), deliver effective feedback, and develop capability within teams.
  • Drive talent management, succession planning, and individual development discussion, develop and maintain a pipeline for succession planning to ensure future leadership and skill continuity
Culture & Principle Based Management (PBM) Advocacy
  • Act as a steward of PBM culture by reinforcing values such as integrity, respect, compliance, and long-term value creation.
  • Partner with employees at all levels to grow their knowledge and application of PBM.
Recruiting
  • Support the recruitment process in partnership with talent acquisition team, hiring manager and leveraged recruiting capability to attract top talent
  • Ensure good new hire experience, which includes 90 days check in and training programs
HR Program Execution & Analytics
  • Support core HR processes including compensation planning, headcount planning, 360 feedback, etc.
  • Leverage HR data and insights to proactively identify risks and opportunities
Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Manage employee relations matters, including performance improvement, investigation, and conflict resolution, exercising sound judgment and discretion.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and full compliance with California and Federal employment laws.
Flex Support
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Progressive HRBP experience, including experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Manger roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of California employment law and employee relations best practices.
  • Demonstrate ability to influence and partner with leaders
  • Experience in analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data, advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time domestically
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • Experience supporting optics, photonics, semiconductor, hardware, or advanced manufacturing organizations.
  • Past experience working in technical or engineering -driven organizations
  • Advanced skills in data analytics, proven track record to link HR strategy with HR data analytics

For this role, we anticipate paying $130,000 - $170,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
