Vibe Restaurants is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support field operations leaders and act as an employee relations expert across the organization. This onsite role in Farmers Branch, TX focuses on guiding processes and outcomes related to engagement and retention, safety and workers' compensation, employee issues, leaves of absence, ADA interactive process needs, and regulatory requests.
In this position, you will lead or support investigations into complex employee relations matters, assess risk, recommend solutions, and help ensure compliance with both company policy and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong partnerships with field operators and support staff to understand business needs.
- Conduct, lead, or guide investigations to resolve employee relations issues, conflicts, and concerns.
- Investigate complex employee relations matters and take appropriate steps, partnering as needed, to help mitigate risk.
- Prepare clear, precise documentation, including investigation notes, performance documents, and legal or compliance responses, aligned with legal and company standards.
- Promote and monitor employee engagement, proactively addressing threats to a positive and inclusive culture.
- Serve as the primary HR contact and partner for Directors of Operations and Area Operations Coaches.
- Implement an annual cadence for field visits with Directors of Operations.
- Provide guidance and oversight on employee-related matters, including Performance Management, Workers' Compensation, ADA inquiries, and Leaves of Absence.
- Review HR-relevant documents for appropriate terminology and objective language aligned with company standards.
- Monitor and support compliance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements, including Department of Labor and Employment Security Commission wage garnishment matters, and meet associated deadlines.
- Keep leaders promptly and fully informed of issues of significance, positive events, and unusual matters, taking corrective action when necessary or proposing alternative paths.
- Contribute to a positive working environment through constructive actions.
- Maintain favorable working relationships across the organization to support morale, productivity, and efficiency.
- Carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, and support company-wide employee relations initiatives, including employee milestones and recognition activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience conducting complex investigations to resolution.
- Two or more years as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner in the restaurant, service, retail, or hospitality industry, preferably with multiple-unit responsibility.
- Strong ability to communicate and build relationships with employees at all levels.
- Proven capability to handle sensitive employee relations issues and develop solutions.
- Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions and track HR trends.
- Ability to resolve workplace conflicts and negotiate agreements.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations (local, state, and federal).
- Familiarity with recruitment and talent acquisition processes.
- Knowledge of employee benefits, compensation strategies, and performance management systems.
- Understanding of diversity and inclusion practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR-related software.
Work Schedule and Environment
- Onsite location: Farmers Branch, TX.
- Typical schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5 or 9-6.
- Night and weekend availability may be required for urgent matters.
- Field visits to restaurants as needed.
- Travel is about 10%, including occasional overnight travel, and may increase in special circumstances.
- Some plane travel will be required.
