Job summary

MilliporeSigma seeks an HR Business Partner to support our Life Science HR team across the United States. The role can be based in Burlington, MA or St. Louis, MO and report to the Regional HRBP Leader - US Operations. You will support leaders on employee lifecycle topics while deploying HR solutions.

As an HRBP you will deliver operational people solutions, coach leaders, enable change, and ensure compliance with local labor regulations, leveraging data to drive decisions.

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience as HR Business Partner or similar role.

Pay: $40-45.50/hr

Your Role

As an HR Business Partner, you will be an integral part of the Life Science HR team, supporting our operations and locations across the United States. This role can be based in either our Burlington, MA or St. Louis, MO locations and report directly to the Regional HRBP Leader- US Operations. You will support business leaders on key employee lifecycle topics while deploying, implementing, and communicating HR Solutions.

The HR Business Partner

• Delivers operational people solutions and support for all employee lifecycle topics in collaboration with cross-functional partners, leveraging the existing solutions and frameworks.
• Deploys and implements HR solutions including people development, compensation & benefits, and employee relations in alignment with partner HR groups.
• Delivers HR support on organizational strategies such as people analytics, organizational transformations & change, and M&A.
• Interprets local market requirements by partnering with Global HR Business Partners & HR leadership to translate business requirements into operational plans reflecting local labor regulations and implementing the strategies locally. Ensures legal compliance on people and HR matters.
• Consults with line managers and provides enablement to help shape the desired talent, performance culture, retention strategies, and drive necessary change.
• Leverage internal HR services colleagues for the completion of transactional tasks.
• Educate and promote manager self-service capabilities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Ability to translate complex information into succinct and impactful communication in a multicultural setting.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources working as HR Business, Solutions Partner, or relevant and partnering with various levels of leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated success partnering in a large, global, matrixed organization.
• Experience working in manufacturing site preferred.
• Change management mindset with ability to coach leaders and drive adoption of HR programs.
• Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
• You enjoy presenting at all levels of the organization and managing unexpected questions and challenges.
• Solid knowledge of federal/state employment laws and HR practices; ability to apply knowledge for critical decision-making while ensuring legally sound solutions that mitigate risk.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Location and Working Arrangements

• Hybrid presence; Three days a week on-site presence required as needed for business initiatives and collaboration.
• Position may require some regional travel.
