Summary

The Human Resources Manager (HRM) will oversee HR operations across multiple locations, ensuring a positive workplace culture, compliance with HR policies, and strategic workforce planning to attract and retain staff members. The HRM contributes to our HR operational activity and will include involvement in a wide range of strategic projects.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and complete all recruitment activities (Job Requisitions, Interviews, Reference Checks, Selection, etc.). Develop and monitor recruitment resources per region.
  • Manage and complete all onboarding activities (Offer Letters, Contracts, Licensure Obtainment, Name Badge creation, Email Signatures, etc.). Also, participate in and monitor orientation programs when new staff are hired.
  • Ensure consistency of company policies, procedures and corrective action processes. This also includes coaching when necessary.
  • Coach managers to provide direction, counsel and professional growth and development of staff.
  • Practice positive employee relations, including coaching, counseling & discipline.
  • Assist in developing staff members and managers for future advancement within the company.
  • Assist in handling staffing issues, such as mediating disputes and directing disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policies.
  • Build and conduct training courses that relate to company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze turnover statistics to present to supervisor monthly.
  • Assist in reporting on worker productivity and recommend changes to the supervisor that helps assist in successful performance.
  • Create and send payroll reports for contract staff to payroll in a timely manner for processing.
  • Create, implement, and communicate policies and programs to guarantee employee and manager knowledge.
  • Create and update SOPs as needed to ensure that Anew Behavioral Health is consistent in following internal and external policies/procedures.
  • Coordinate and monitor recruitment, screening and reference checking of all non-exempt personnel.
  • Instruct managers and staff in interpretation of HR policies and procedures while ensuring compliance.
  • Oversee regional employee benefit programs including the processing and termination of benefits.
  • Participate in EEO, Unemployment, Wage & Hour, Worker's Compensation, OSHA, and ADA hearings.
  • Conduct annual audits to ensure Human Resources compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employees, managers, and senior leadership.
  • Responsible for innovative policy development and strategic solutions that support Anew Behavioral Health to be at the forefront of HR best practice.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Human Resources Manager will also be responsible for working with their Director and the Third-Party broker yearly on benefit adjustments.

HRM is supervised by the Director of Administrative Services.

QUALIFICATIONS

The HRM must have excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written), organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office and ability to utilize online EHR and HRIS platforms. The HRM must have knowledge of benefits, employee relations, FMLA/ADA, employment law, and audit reviews. The HRM must also understand and follow HIPAA and HIPAA 42CFR compliance.

Education

A High school diploma with experience noted below is required. A bachelor’s degree in a closely related field is preferred.

Certification

SHRM or PHR is a plus, not required.

Experience

Minimum of 2-3 years in a HR Generalist role or equivalent position.

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Requires about 25% travel.
