Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. seeks an HR Generalist to join the HR Experience (HRX) program in the NW Georgia area. You will participate in training to build skills across total rewards, HR compliance, employee relations, talent acquisition, and development, while supporting operations at multiple facilities.

This role emphasizes learning and collaboration to drive performance, associate experience, and development. Travel between Dalton and Cartersville facilities is required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in HR or related field required.
• Strong understanding of employment law and general business acumen.
• Ability to operate well within a team and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Learn the fundamentals of HR at Shaw across topics like total rewards, HR compliance, employee relations, talent acquisition, and development.
• Conduct investigations and assist with associate experience projects.
• Address associate concerns and determine next steps; assist with staffing levels.
• Support manufacturing facilities and other operations; assist with succession planning and talent development.
• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.

This role will mainly be working in the NWGA locations for training.

Primary Responsibilities

• Learn the fundamentals of the HR functions at Shaw, covering a variety of topics including but not limited to total rewards, HR compliance and employee relations, talent acquisition, learning and development, LOA, and more
• Conduct investigations
• Assist with associate experience projects at facilities.
• Address associate concerns and determine best next steps.
• Assist with maintaining staffing levels
• Provide support to the assigned business areas of manufacturing facilities and other areas of operations as needed
• Assist with succession planning and talent development.
• Other tasks and projects as assigned

Position Requirements

• BA/BS Degree in HR management or related field
• General Business & Employment Law Acumen
• Ability to operate successfully within a team
• Ability to manage and resolve conflict
• Ability to coach peers or others
• Ability to influence/communicate across the entire spectrum of the workforce
• Ability to travel between facilities in the NW Ga area, including Dalton and Cartersville.

Preferred

• 1-2 years of HR experience preferred
• Bilingual
