Job summary

The Tatitlek Corporation seeks a mid-level Human Centered Designer to support operational user research and concept development across C5ISR projects in a defense innovation setting. You will help shape products, policies, and services by translating user needs into actionable recommendations and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related field, at least three years supporting military units or defense contractors, and a US security clearance

Overview

Air Force CyberWorx is an innovation lab focused on optimizing products, processes, and policies using Human-Centered Design best practices focused on cyber capability-melding academic and industry expertise to solve operational problems.

We are seeking a mid-level Human Centered Designer focused on operational user research and concept development to assist with various aspects of Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• This role will involve collecting and acting on feedback.
• Developing project documents.
• Supporting daily team activities.
• Contributing to project communications.
• Providing Human-Centered Design C5ISR subject matter expertise, advice, and assistance spanning user experience research, analysis, interaction, product design support, futures thinking, and facilitation.
• Conduct interviews, contextual inquiry, and primary/secondary research.
• Translate user needs and requirements into systems, services, products, policies, hardware, and/or software recommendations.
• The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of human-centered design principles and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: At least three years of relevant experience supporting a military unit or defense contractor operating in an innovation environment.
• Core Expertise: Subject Matter Expertise supporting Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) efforts.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight, prioritizing tasks as needed.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must currently possess a SECRET (minimum) level DoD clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
