Kettering Health Main Campus in Kettering, OH is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant (HUC NA) for a full-time, 12-hour day shift. This hybrid role combines health unit coordination with nursing assistant duties to support patient care as part of the interdisciplinary team.

The HUC NA coordinates unit activities, assists with daily living tasks, processes patient records, and communicates with nursing staff, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of KH Health Coordinator training upon hire into role
• Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant Orientation upon hire into role
• Certification in CPR/BLS
• Must have one of the following: Six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or a long-term care facility; Completion of Nursing Assistant course in the last six months; Nursing student or listed as pre-nursing as shown on transcripts; Current employee with Kettering Health

Responsabilités

• The HUC NA supports patients with activities of daily living and performs patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice.
• Collaborates with unit leadership in coordinating day-to-day activities of the patient care unit, including processing of patient records and communication with nursing staff, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel.
• Serves as a resource for physicians and other health care team members for the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Maintains knowledge, skill, and ability for delegated tasks and supports department operational needs.
• Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• The Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant (HUC NA) has a dual focus, a combination of the Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) and Nursing Assistant (NA) roles. They serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team.
• The HUC NA supports patients with activities of daily living and performs patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice.
• The HUC NA also collaborates with unit leadership in coordinating the day-to-day activities of the patient care unit. This includes the processing of patient records and ongoing communication with nursing staff, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel. The HUC NA serves as a resource for physicians and other members of the health care team for the electronic medical record.
• The HUC NA is responsible for maintaining and demonstrating knowledge, skill, and ability of the delegated tasks. The HUC NA also supports department operational needs, and performs other duties as assigned.
• The HUC NA reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

Applicants Must Have:

• Successful completion of KH Health Coordinator training upon hire into role
