Job summary

Providence Centralia Hospital is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to coordinate unit activities and provide clerical support, including processing patient orders, chart management, and assisting with admissions, transfers and discharges.

The role requires a Certified Health Unit Clerk certification at hire and at least 1 year of clerical experience in a medical setting; applicants will join a team dedicated to patient-focused, whole-person care in the Providence system.

Description

Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs) coordinate unit activities with ancillary departments and perform clerical support for the unit . The clerical tasks include processing of patient orders, chart management, order processing, general support of the unit, and assisting with admission, transfer and discharge of routine and complex patients.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Upon hire: Certified Health Unit Clerk certification

  • 1 year Clerical experience in a medical field such as medical assistant, unit secretary, admitting clerk or medical office receptionist.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
