Position SummaryThe Utilities Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all WeDriveU buses and support vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. You’ll lead a small team of Utility Attendants, coordinate daily cleaning schedules, and work closely with maintenance and operations to deliver a safe, comfortable rider experience.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and mentor a team of Utility Attendants.

Develop weekly schedules, assign cleaning zones, and monitor attendance and productivity.

  • Fleet Cleanliness & Sanitation:
    • Oversee interior and exterior cleaning of buses, including floors, seats, windows, and driver compartments.

    • Ensure deep-cleaning protocols (e.g., disinfection, upholstery treatments) are completed on schedule.

    • Quality Control:
      • Perform regular inspections to validate cleanliness standards; document findings and initiate corrective actions.

      • Audit chemical use and cleaning supplies to optimize inventory and control costs.

      • Safety & Compliance:
        • Enforce all FMCSA/FTA regulations related to vehicle sanitation.

        • Train staff on proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals per OSHA guidelines.

      • Coordinate with Maintenance teams to report damage or mechanical issues spotted during cleaning.

        Communicate daily priorities and any route or schedule changes to the Utility team.

        Maintain logs of completed work orders, supply usage, and inspection results.

        Recommend process improvements or new equipment to enhance efficiency and quality.

        Qualifications
        • Education & Experience:
          • High school diploma or equivalent required.

          • 2 + years of supervisory experience in custodial, facilities, or fleet-cleaning operations.

          • Technical Skills:
            • Knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment and industrial-grade chemicals.

            • Familiarity with FMCSA/FTA vehicle sanitation standards.

          • Strong coaching and conflict-resolution skills.

            Ability to motivate a diverse team and manage performance.

            • Other Requirements:
              • Valid driver’s license; clean driving record.

              • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying environmental conditions.
