UPS is hiring a shift supervisor to oversee package handlers, train and develop workgroups, and uphold safety, production and attendance standards. The role demands leadership to achieve accuracy, customer service, organization and teamwork within a fast-moving warehouse.

The candidate will establish and maintain high performance standards, promote proactive communication and continuous improvement, and ensure all personnel are oriented and trained for safety and success in a dynamic environment.

Job Summary
This position supervises Package Handlers and trains, develops, and holds workgroups responsible for safety, production and attendance. This position sets and maintains high standards for account productivity, accuracy, customer service, organization, communication, cooperation, and safety. This position provides innovative and effective leadership and cultivates a functional working relationship with all levels of personnel throughout the organization.

Responsibilities: Responsible to ensure that all employees adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times, operating in full compliance with department, station, corporate and OSHA requirements.
Manages department resources to ensure maximum output, accuracy, and efficiency at all times.
Establishes and promote a positive, team-oriented work environment emphasizing employee involvement, pro-active communication, inter-departmental cooperation, and continual improvement on all levels.
Implements employee personal development plans as required to ensure the continuing professional growth of department personnel.
Ensures all department employees receive specific and detailed orientation, skills and safety training, appropriate materials and information, regular evaluations, and pro-active coaching to support their continued development.
Ensures all employees adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times.

Pay Range:

The base pay for this position ranges from $26.25/hr to $42.65/hr. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
