Job summary

UPS is seeking a Logistics Supervisor in Buffalo, NY to manage Small Package hub and sort activities, ensuring accurate sorting and on-time loading to trailers. You will supervise unloaders, sorters, and part-time supervisors, and collaborate with hub and feeder management to plan peak season and special sort activities.

You will monitor safety training, review performance, and engage with union representatives to improve employee relations while ensuring compliance with regulations and company

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred
• Legal, regulatory, and safety compliance knowledge - Preferred
• Understanding of policies and procedures to situations and operations in a business environment - Preferred
• Manages and uses details, facts, and information to thoroughly and accurately plan and complete work
• Experience managing physical assets (e.g., machinery, vehicles, equipment, supplies) - Preferred

Responsibilities

• Communicates across functions to ensure equipment is serviced.
• Supports staffing and pre-sort plans.
• Ensures packages are sorted correctly.
• Collaborates with feeder and dispatch operations to ensure loads for large accounts are sorted and built according to service agreements.
• Determines employee training needs to produce continuous development plans.
• Provides feedback and support.
• Conducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues.
