Job summary

Joe V’s Smart Shop in Humble, TX is seeking a team member to keep market merchandising areas clean and well stocked while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will answer product questions, explain prep and nutrition, label and price items, rotate stock, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.

The role requires the ability to work a flexible schedule and provide reliable support across store operations as part of a busy, customer-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent Customer Service by answering product-related questions and helping Customers.
• Communicates preparation, safe handling, and nutritional aspects of products to Customers as needed.
• Scrapes and trays product as needed.
• Weighs, wraps and uses mandatory PLU codes to label/price packages.
• Stocks and rotates items in market cases, on shelves, frozen food cases and coolers.
• Organizes and cleans prep areas, freezers, coolers, wareroom and sales floor.
• Reports missing signs or tags to the Market Manager or Shelf Edge team.
• Adhere to SOPs.
• Maintain standards in safety and sanitation.
• Minimize Shrink.
• Comply with all Federal, State and Company regulations and standards for product freshness, food safety -and sanitation.
• Participate with a total store mindset.
• Cross-functional duties in other areas may be assigned. Joe Vs Smart Shop Partners are trained to do at least two jobs within the store.
