Job summary

New Bedford Public School District is seeking a Curriculum, Data and Assessment Manager for History/Social Sciences. This role leads curriculum development, assessment planning, and data analytics to advance NBPS strategic goals.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with a Master’s preferred, seven years of combined teaching and leadership experience, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills. Start date is immediate, with responsibilities across NBPS schools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree desired from accredited college or university.
Course work in educational leadership or administration.
Minimum seven years combined experience as a classroom teacher and/or successful leadership experience in assessing program needs, instructional planning, assessment development, and professional development.

Responsibilities

Participate in development and evaluation of existing and new curriculum.
Identify and lead a team of administrators and teachers for curriculum development.
Collaborate to internalize curriculum across NBPS.
Coordinate evaluation of current curriculum to meet standards.
Develop a five-year plan for curriculum development.
Define and execute HSS assessment calendar.
Develop plan to support assessment administration and data collection across schools.
Manage implementation and administration of all state, district, and school assessments.
Analyze data with school leaders to identify improvement areas.
Develop data dashboards and regular reports for stakeholders.
Create a public package of achievement and data for audiences like School Committee and families.
