Denali Universal Services is seeking a seasonal HSE Technician to support health, safety and environmental operations across Alaska's North Slope during the winter ice-roads season.
The role requires inspective work with operations, audits, incident investigations, and training, with a 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation. Travel between remote camps is extensive; lodging and meals are provided during rotations.
The HSE Technician supports health, safety, and environmental (HSE) operations for multiple remote camps and project locations on Alaska's North Slope during the winter ice-roads season.
The HSE Technician serves as a field-based safety resource for employees, supervisors, and managers by assisting with safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, training, regulatory compliance activities, and hazard identification efforts. The position works closely with operations personnel to promote safe work practices, reduce risk, and support compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
This is a seasonal position anticipated to begin in December 2026 and continue through early or mid-April 2027. The duration of the assignment may vary based on weather conditions and ice road operations on Alaska's North Slope.
The HSE Tech follows a rotational schedule (4 weeks on / 2 weeks off) andrequires extensive travel between North Slope locations. Transportation from the designated point of hire to the assigned work location is provided by the Company. While on rotation, employees are provided lodging and meals at the assigned remote camp location. Due to operational requirements, travel schedules, work assignments, and rotation lengths may be adjusted as business needs dictate.
The majority of work is performed in remote camps and field environments, requiring a high degree of flexibility, professionalism, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently while maintaining effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, clients, and other stakeholders.

Work is primarily performed in remote North Slope camp environments and active operational worksites. Employees may be exposed to extreme weather conditions, including cold temperatures, snow, ice, wind, limited daylight during winter months, and challenging travel conditions. The position requires interaction with employees working in industrial, transportation, hospitality, maintenance, facilities, housekeeping, warehouse, and construction-support environments.
This position requires frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs, navigating uneven terrain, conducting field inspections, and visiting active work areas. The employee must be able to travel by commercial and charter aircraft, drive (or ride) company vehicles, carry standard safety and business equipment, and perform work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments. The position requires the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and perform duties safely in a safety-sensitive environment.
