Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent certification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of local and national HSE regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in conducting HSE inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to train and engage employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits of workplaces, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
• Prepare and maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation, including incident reports, training records, and inspection logs.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the delivery of HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Monitor environmental performance, including waste management, energy consumption, and emissions, and assist in identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into all operational activities.
• Maintain and calibrate HSE equipment, such as gas detectors and noise meters.
• Stay up-to-date with current HSE legislation, standards, and best practices.
• Participate in HSE committee meetings and contribute to safety initiatives.
