Job summary

Precision Drilling Corporation seeks an experienced HSE Superintendent to lead safety programs on rigs and in field operations. The role carries a 14 on/14 off rotation, with 24/7 field support responsibilities and a focus on implementing HSE management systems, regulatory compliance, and incident investigations.

You will drive HSE performance, coach crews, and manage hazard controls, ensuring alignment with company safety objectives and industry standards.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in safety preferred
• HSE credentials and/or certifications preferred
• Strong working knowledge of HSE Management Systems
• Strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements
• Experience in hazard assessment and incident investigation
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicle
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant oilfield safety experience (or 5 years in heavy industry/construction with excellent safety record)

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 HSE support and leadership in the field, spending 80% on-site
• Implement and oversee HSE programs including hazard identification and risk assessments
• Monitor and communicate HSE performance using key indicators for continuous improvement
• Lead post-incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions
• Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with proficiency in MS Office and regulatory compliance

The HSE Superintendent is responsible for implementation of HSE management system (MS), processes, policies, and tools for assigned rigs; Drives ownership, responsibility, and accountability for HSE; Communicates effectively to drive consistent implementation and compliance to the HSE MS, trend and measure the HSE leading and lagging indicators for the daily management of the rigs; Champions HSE to continuously drive HSE Performance. This position is a rotational role (14 on/14 off).

DAY IN THE LIFE:

• Provide 24/7 HSE support and leadership in the field, spending 80% of time on‑site to coach, train, and reinforce safety standards, procedures, and company objectives
• Implement and oversee HSE programs, including hazard identification, inspections, risk assessments, emergency response plans, and compliance with regulatory and company policies
• Monitor and communicate HSE performance, using key indicators to drive continuous improvement, corrective actions, and ensure alignment with company goals (Target Zero)
• Lead post‑incident processes, including investigations, reporting, corrective action follow‑up, and communication with leadership and safety committees
• Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, with proficiency in MS Office and a commitment to safety, training, and regulatory compliance at all levels

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

• BS/BA degree preferred in a safety-related program
• HSE credentials and/or certifications preferred
• Strong working knowledge of HSE Management Systems
• Strong working knowledge of Regulatory requirements
• Experience in Hazard Assessment and Incident Investigation
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a Company vehicle, including the ability to meet the requirements of the Company's Vehicle Use Agreement and Driving Policy
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant oilfield experience, or 5 years in a heavy industry/construction environment with a proven excellent safety record
