ENFRA LLC is seeking a qualified HSE Specialist to support project safety oversight and implementation. You will coordinate safety efforts and communicate conditions to the HSE team and supervisors, ensuring a safe workplace for all personnel.

The role requires hands-on field safety supervision, training, and documentation, with a focus on incident prevention and compliance with safety programs. Travel to job sites is extensive.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of construction experience.
  • 1 year on-site safety supervision experience.
  • OSHA 30hr for Construction Industry.
  • Completed First Aid, CPR, and AED training.
  • Specialized training relevant to scope of work.
  • Strong attention to detail with analytical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to tackle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and conduct field safety orientation training.
  • Daily inspection of machinery, equipment, and working conditions for compliance.
  • Observe workers for proper use of safety equipment.
  • Inspect areas for fire-prevention equipment and first-aid supplies.
  • Test hazard exposures using appropriate equipment.
  • Prepare daily safety findings and corrective actions.
  • Investigate accidents to determine root causes and preventive measures.
  • Document accidents, violations, unsafe conditions or behavior.
  • Assist in developing JSAs, SHMP, and PSSP safety plans.
  • Lead weekly safety meetings and train on company safety practices.

Overview

The HSE Specialist is responsible for assisting in the overall supervision and administration of project safety to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. This role will also coordinate project safety efforts to prevent accidents and injuries while communicating details of project safety conditions to the HSE Manager, HSE Director, and various levels of project supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Participates in developing and conducting field safety orientation training.
  • Daily inspection of machinery, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safe work practices.
  • Observes workers to determine appropriate use of prescribed safety equipment, such as glasses, helmets, goggles, respirators, and clothing.
  • Inspection of specified areas for fire-prevention equipment, first-aid supplies, and other safety devices.
  • Tests working areas for hazard exposures (noise, toxic, etc.) using associated testing equipment.
  • Prepares daily report of findings with recommendations for corrective action.
  • Investigation of accidents per program procedures to establish root cause for use in recommending preventive safety measures.
  • Documents all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions or behavior.
  • Assisting in development of standardized job safety analysis (JSA), corporate safety and health management program (SHMP), as well as project specific safety plans (PSSP).
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings with workers to instruct them on Company/project safety practices and requirements.
  • Demonstrates use of equipment and conducts safety training.
Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • 5 years of construction experience.
  • 1 year of experience as an on-site safety person.
  • OSHA 30hr card for the Construction Industry.
  • Completed First Aid, CPR, and AED training.
  • Specialized training relevant to scope of work.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and hazard control methods.
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC), Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST), Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST), Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS)

Travel Requirements

  • 75-85% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Pay Range
