Job summary

CBRE invites applications for the Health, Safety and Environment Manager role in the United States. You will be responsible for creating and implementing HSE programs for small to medium-sized clients within the Environment Health and Safety function.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 3–5 years of relevant experience; combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Additional certifications as required by the local authority.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team and impact quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Promote a positive and proactive culture to influence stakeholders and ensure compliance.
  • Assist with implementing and reviewing playbooks and procedures; drive program consistency and efficiency for Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives.
  • Manage initiatives to meet regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.
  • Track operational and safety risks; develop and manage strategic risk management strategies to avoid incidents.
  • Monitor injury, illness, and incident reports; provide recommendations to prevent risk.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance within the account and collaborate with management on strategic solutions to maintain compliance.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify concerns; communicate findings and deficiencies to responsible managers.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors aligned with CBRE RISE values to influence stakeholders.
  • Apply knowledge of the discipline and its integration with others to achieve team objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues in systems and processes.

This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.

What You’ll Do
  • Promote a positive and proactive culture to influence stakeholders, and to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with implementing and reviewing playbooks, and procedures. Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives drive program consistency and efficiency.
  • Manage initiatives to meet regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.
  • Track operational and safety risks. Develop and manage strategic risk management strategies to avoid potential incidents.
  • Monitor injury, illness, and incident reports. Provide recommendations on how to prevent risk.
  • Monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental regulatory compliance within the account. Work with management to create strategic solutions that improve and maintain compliance as required.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify potential concerns. Communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to responsible functional managers.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.

What You’ll Need

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the HSE Manager role is $90,000 annually and the maximum salary for the HSE Manager position is $120,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
