Job summary

Morgan Corp. is seeking an HSE Intern in Duncan, SC to support our Safety department. The internship targets students pursuing Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related fields and offers hands-on exposure to field safety in construction projects.

You will work under mentorship to assist with inspections, documentation and safety communications while learning OSHA/EPA standards and company policies on site. This is a full-time summer-style internship with active learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing relevant safety/environmental degree.
• Interest in construction industry and field safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with jobsite safety inspections and audits.
• Support environmental compliance efforts, including documentation and reporting.
• Help develop and distribute safety communications, toolbox talks, and training materials.
• Participate in incident investigations and help track corrective actions.
• Assist with data collection, recordkeeping, and HSE metrics tracking.
• Observe and support the implementation of OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to promote a strong safety culture.

Description

This internship is designed for college students pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field, or those with an interest in the construction industry. Our internship program provides a realistic view of what it is like to work in the construction industry through meaningful, hands-on experiences.

Work Environment

Work is performed outside in all types of environmental conditions. This position performs strenuous physical activity for long periods under varying and adverse field conditions. This position must be able to lift, carry, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out above the shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.
