Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, diploma, or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) or related discipline.
• Pursuit of safety designation such as NCSO, CHST, OSHA 30 Hours in Construction.
• Basic knowledge of construction, industrial processes and terminology.
• Awareness of OH&S, environmental regulations and workers’ comp.
• Ability to learn HSE processes and tools.
• Strong planning, organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to resolve conflicts with craft workers.
• Proven communication skills and presentation ability.
• Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
• Knowledge of incident investigation or learning models.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing project or facility HSE plans and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct project-specific HSE training as needed.
• Support trend data collection and creation of action plans.
• Develop and implement Hazard ID tools (CHA, JHA).
• Assist Frontline Work Planning and ensure task completeness.
• Conduct and document project HSE inspections.
• Assist with PPE identification and monitoring.
• Support emergency response and environmental plans.
• Participate in internal and external audits as assigned.
• Review trade partners’ HSE documentation and audits.
