Responsibilities

• Oversees the administration of the Unified Track and Field team for students with and without disabilities.
• Liaison with Athletic Director and Special Olympics to ensure standards and policies are met.
• Develop and implement weekly practice plans; minimum two practices per week.
• Organize and lead practices with Assistant Coaches.
• Impart inclusive sports philosophy; Unified Sports principles.
• Plan and manage competition strategies for individuals and team.
• Recruit students with diverse abilities for the team.
• Handle paperwork required by the district and Special Olympics.
• If hosting meets, recruit and train volunteers.
• Attend Unified Sports Coaches’ training and complete required course.
