Job summary

AIMS K-12 College Prep is seeking an Athletic Coach in Oakland for a seasonal role. The coach will lead student activities, coordinate sports and clubs, and support events under the direction of the Athletic Director and School Site Administrator.

The position involves equipment prep, facility coordination, attendance tracking, and ensuring safe, compliant operations during practices and games, including coordination of transportation and senior events where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant professional work experience preferred.
• Athletic Coaching experience preferred.
• Events management experience a plus.
• Experience managing, training, and leading groups of students.
• Experience with managing contracts with outside vendors/partners.
• California Driver's License.
• Experience in working with K-12 students.
• Fingerprinting and TB requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish pre-contest checklists with head coaches and site administrators.
• Coordinate supplies, equipment, and services.
• Manage facilities used by athletic teams.
• Maintain attendance reports for student-athletes on game days.
• Distribute game schedules as needed.
• Supervise and guide student-athletes during practices and events.
• Attend coaches meetings and ensure student safety and conduct.
• Arrange transportation for away contests when needed.
• Plan and coordinate season logistics and tryouts with the Head Coach.
