Qualifications

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning in Math and Science
• Maintain high academic and personal expectations for all students
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning, with a focus on Math and Science
• Ensure lessons are rigorous, clear, measurable, and aligned with Common Core State Standards
• Develop and use a variety of assessments that measure student progress toward standards
• Maintain an organized classroom environment
• Ensure students master grade-level standards
• Provide high expectations and monitor student progress
• Incorporate direct instruction, discussion, projects and cooperative work
• Follow school policies for student conduct and discipline
• Develop clear evaluation criteria and share with students
• Share responsibility for grade level and school-wide activities
• Inspire a sense of JOY in learning
