The Opportunity:

Prospect Schools is seeking an organized, flexible, and mission-driven High School Interventionist and IEP Case Manager to join us in support of our growing network of schools. The ideal candidate is fully dedicated to the mission of Prospect Schools and to supporting the success of our students and families. As part of an ambitious and high-performing instructional team, our teachers are expected to create positive, equitable classroom environments that excite and invest our students in their learning goals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

IEP Case Management

Knowing Our Students with IEPs

Read IEPs and available SESIS documentation for each student to ensure familiarity with each student’s services, accommodations, and educational history

Observe students in class at least 1x per semester to gain insight on their classroom experience

Conduct student interviews to support transition planning and skill building

Create and maintain student scoops for easy access of highest-leverage information

Participate in MTSS team meetings

Collaborating With Families

Partner with families to discuss their child’s educational experience

Establish a regular communication cadence with families to share resources, updates, and progress

Develop family events that promote community and relationship building and provide opportunities for information sharing and feedback

Developing and Implementing IEPs

Oversee teacher report completion and data collection to inform IEPs

Develop data-aligned IEPs and ensure compliance of services

Coordinate with teachers and staff to ensure appropriate implementation of accommodations

Complete IEP progress reports

Supporting IEP and 504 Coordination

Work alongside our IEP Coordinator and 504 Coordinator (primary owners) and SSS Leadership team to:

Ensure IEP/504 compliance

Maintain internal documents

Apply for testing accommodations

Support related service coordination (IEP only)

Develop PDs to deepen staff understanding and skill in working with swe

Planning for Intentional Intervention

Work with the SSS team to determine student needs and plan appropriate supports and interventions within the classroom setting

Support students by leading impactful small group or individual support

Use data-informed methods to advocate for SWEs and support teachers in serving them well

Demonstrate deep knowledge of content and effective pedagogy, evidenced by clear and objective-driven instruction and meaningful student engagement practices

Family Partnership

Build relationships and provide ongoing progress updates through regular communication with the families of all students you teach

Utilize family and student feedback to continuously improve the learning experience for your students

Partner with families to ensure students are receiving the best fit and appropriate supports

Coordinate and support meetings with families on both an ad hoc basis and during regularly scheduled events

The salary range for this role starts at $63,960, then increases based on years of experience. Our salaries are set through a lens of equity, and based on an individual’s skills, education, and years of experience relevant to the role.
