Washakie County School District No. 1 invites applications for a High School Assistant Girls Soccer Coach. The position focuses on developing fundamental soccer skills, sportsmanship, and self-esteem among participants under the guidance of the head coach.

You will help schedule practices, supervise safety, and assist with travel and equipment, while upholding district policies and WHSAA rules. First Aid/CPR certification must be kept current.

Qualifications

• Maintain proper coaching certifications as required by policy
• Knowledge of Wyoming High School Activities Association rules and district policies
• Ability to supervise and ensure safety during practices and events

Responsabilités

• Help participants achieve basic soccer skills and sportsmanship
• Assist head coach in guiding participants in skills for achievement
• Schedule regular practice sessions during the season
• Assist in ensuring safety of facilities during activity times
• Promote sportsmanship and enforce penalties for breaches
• Supervise away trips and ensure buses are clean after trips
• Keep coaching and storage areas clean and presentable
• Assist in recruiting students for participation
• Follow district and activities department policies and procedures
• Obtain WHSAA information and stay updated on rules
• Keep First Aid/CPR certification current
• Maintain coaching certifications throughout employment

High School Assistant Girls Soccer Coach
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Has the primary goal of helping each participant achieve a fundamental level of skill, an appreciation for the value of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.


• Works withhead coachto guide individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the activity involved.


• Works withheadcoach to schedule a regular program of practice in season.


• Works with the othercoaches to provide that the safety condition of the facility or area in which the assigned activity is conducted at all times students are present.


• Works with the othercoaches to enforce sportsmanship behavior at all times and establishes penalties for breech of such standards.


• Is responsible for supervision on all away trips (motel and bus behavior) and insuring that busses used are cleaned up at the completion of each trip.


• Assumes responsibility to keep coaching, training, and storage rooms clean and presentable.


• Works withthe recruitment of students for participation.


• Adhere to Washakie County School District No. 1 School Board and Activities Department policies and procedures.


• Will be responsible for obtaining all WHSAA information through a manual or on-line; knowing the rules and regulations covering their activity as established by the Wyoming High School Activities Association and Washakie County School District No. 1 policy.


• Responsible for keeping First Aid/CPR certification current.


• Certification: It is the employee's responsibility to maintain the proper coaching certifications throughout employment at Washakie County School District No. 1.
