Job summary

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs is seeking a Human Resources Information System Analyst in the Office of Human Resources to optimize HR technology and business processes across the employee lifecycle. The analyst gathers requirements, analyzes workflows, configures HR systems, tests changes, and supports implementation efforts, partnering with HR staff, campus stakeholders, IT, and CU System.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to human resources or information technology is required.
  • Progressively responsible HRIS experience, including advanced queries.
  • Experience supporting HR, payroll, talent acquisition, or other human capital management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with process analysis, system configuration, implementation, testing, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with both functional and technical stakeholders in a complex organizational environment.
  • Experience with SQL database or reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the functional subject matter expert for HR systems and related business processes, including HRIS functions such as applicant tracking, payroll, and more.
  • Assist with new business application implementations, enhancements, and upgrades for existing applications.
  • Provide application support, end-user training, and continuous improvement of these processes and systems.
  • Serve as primary security role coordinator.
  • Lead and manage strategic process improvement projects and change management initiatives.
  • Create and maintain a repository of process flows and technical communications.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and UIS to develop testing plans for functionality enhancements and software upgrades.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and issue resolution before escalation as needed.
