POP MART is seeking an experienced Retail HR Business Partner to support our expanding West Coast retail organization across the U.S. You will partner with field leadership to drive employee relations, performance management, talent development, compliance, compensation, engagement and retention.

The role requires 8–10 years in HR/retail, at least 5 years in an HRBP role, and deep knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws.

Opportunity Overview:

POP MART is looking for an experienced Retail HR Business Partner to support our rapidly growing retail organization across the West Coast and select U.S. markets. This role will serve as a key HR partner to field leadership, providing hands-on support across employee relations, performance management, talent development, compliance, compensation, engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.

As POP MART continues to expand its U.S. footprint, this person will play an important role in helping us scale our people practices alongside the business. We're looking for someone who understands the realities of multi-unit retail, can build strong relationships with District and Store Managers, and is equally comfortable coaching leaders through complex people challenges and helping build processes where structure is still evolving.

What you will achieve:
  • Be the main contact of the retail population, with a focus on West Coast /Canada and will assist in all HR functions, including, but not limited to, talent review, recruitment, performance management, employee relations and leadership development training
  • Oversees and aligns the structure of internal retail operation procedures including promotion, demotion, transfer procedures, changes in reporting lines, compensation changes, position management, store tier level changes to support daily performance
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to district and store management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Responsible for day-to-day HR coaching on policy and procedures including ensuring that work environments and workplace practices promote a positive employee relations environment free of discrimination, harassment, or any form of unfair or unethical practice
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify and fill critical roles while retaining top talent.
  • Provide exceptional HR support for Retail as it pertains to HR core functional knowledge of employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation, benefits, and development
  • Stay up-to-date about changing labor laws and regulations, ensure compliance with Federal and State Legislation. and provide day-to-day HR coaching on policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a thought partner and executive advisor to field retail leadership, assessing the organizational health of stores with a focus on strengthening capabilities, engagement, development, and retention of talent.
  • Implement companywide HR programs, ensuring programs remain relevant in meeting needs of the business, timing that aligns with store goals; provide feedback to HRBP Leader on business needs
  • Evaluate and analyze overall store climate by reviewing data from employee listening surveys and creating meaningful action plans and solutions that will drive positive employee experiences
What you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and work experience that will enable the candidate to be successful in the role
  • 8-10 years of experience in HR/retail Management, with at least 5 years in a similar HRBP role within the retail industry.
  • Must have proficient knowledge of Federal and multi-state employment regulations, knowledge of multiple state regulations a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communication skills to interact with customers, management, and staff
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize work and manage projects.
  • High learning agility and be able to deliver in a fast pace and rapid growth business environment.
  • Enhanced organizational and planning skills with the ability to operate in a fast paced ever evolving environment
  • Proven ability to manage confidential information with utmost discretion and professionalism.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position (e.g., seated or at a desk) for extended periods while operating a computer or other office equipment
  • Must be able to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Must be willing and able to travel to retail locations

Pay Range Details

The base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000 annually. This range is provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws and may vary based on geographic location. Individual compensation will be determined based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications. This position may also be eligible to participate in the Company's incentive compensation program.
