Graphic Packaging International seeks an Associate HR Manager to provide specialized HR consulting to the business, partnering with leaders to solve people and cultural issues and enable organizational change. The role focuses on coaching leaders, workforce planning, and managing HR program rollouts to minimize disruption.

The position emphasizes collaboration with Talent Management, Staffing, and Recruiting, plus developing succession plans and improving organizational effectiveness.

Formación

  • 3-5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisor, lead, or people management experience.
  • Experience with employee relations, performance management, and corrective actions.

Responsabilidades

  • Partner with plant leadership to support operational and workforce goals.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and supervisors on employee relations, performance management, corrective actions, and policy interpretation.
  • Support recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and resolve employee concerns in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.
  • Assist in the administration of compensation, benefits, leave management, and attendance programs.
  • Support labor relations activities, including contract administration, grievance handling, and maintaining positive union-management relationships, where applicable.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Analyze workforce metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, staffing levels, and employee engagement to identify trends and recommend solutions.
  • Coordinate employee development, training, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Partner with Environmental Health & Safety and Operations teams to support a safe and productive workplace.
  • Participate in organizational change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate HR Manager will perform a specialized type of HR work focused on HR consulting to the business. HR consulting and coaching (e.g., working with business leaders to solve significant people and cultural issues, provides expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment including hiring, termination, performance management, rewards, etc.). Enabling business change (e.g., supporting the talent aspects of organization structure changes, talent integration related to mergers & acquisitions, etc.). HR program advocacy (e.g., communicating the business value of HR initiatives, managing HR program roll out to minimize business disruption, etc.). Partnering with the business and talent management/staffing and recruiting colleagues on key talent initiatives (e.g., workforce planning, potential employee development, succession planning, etc.).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safe Quality Food Responsibilities:
  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation
Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisor, lead, or people management experience.
  • Experience with employee relations, performance management, and corrective actions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; relevant experience in lieu of education.
  • Union environment experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills is a plus.

Pay Range

$101,900.00 - $135,900.00
