Job summary

Grove Collaborative in Reno, NV is seeking a hands-on People Experience Associate to support staffing, onboarding, and daily HR operations at our Reno fulfillment center. You'll partner with the PX Operations Manager to ensure accurate processes for hourly and salaried staff.

The role focuses on reliability, attention to detail, and proactive communication, with exposure to ADP, Greenhouse, and AI-enabled tools as we scale.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of Human Resources or administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to follow established processes with accuracy and consistency.
• Willing to learn new systems quickly, including ADP and Greenhouse.
• Curious about AI and willing to learn AI-enabled tools in HR operations.
• Experience supporting a warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Staffing Support - Post openings, schedule interviews, and coordinate logistics for hiring pick/pack associates and machine operators.
• Onboarding Coordination - Run new hire onboarding and orientation logistics, from paperwork to first-day walkthroughs.
• Offboarding Support - Handle the administrative steps of offboarding, including paperwork and checklist follow-through.
• Employee Relations Assistance - Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and elevate issues as needed.
• HR Program Administration - Support compensation, benefits, and leave programs by processing paperwork and updating records.
• Compliance Tracking - Track training completion, safety training, harassment training, and maintain leave/OSHA records.
• Engagement Support - Help plan and execute engagement activities and logistics.
• Payroll & Benefits Support - Bi-weekly payroll data entry and timekeeping accuracy, open enrollment support.
• Systems & Tools - Learn ADP and other HR systems and adopt AI-enabled tools.

About the Opportunity

Full-time | Onsite at Reno, NV Fulfillment Center | $25-29/hour

At Grove, we call HR \"People Experience,\" because that's what it actually is: the whole journey of a Grover's time with us, not just the paperwork around it. Grove's Reno fulfillment center is growing, and it needs someone on the ground who keeps the day-to-day people operations running smoothly and accurately. This role is often the first face of Grove for pick/pack associates and machine operators, from their first day of onboarding through everyday questions along the way. You'll work closely with the Manager, PX Operations, and the broader PX team, executing the programs and processes they design, and building the judgment to take on more over time. The honest version: this is a hands-on floor role built on getting the details right, consistently, every day. It's not about making the tough calls yet, it's about being the reliable hands and eyes that make sure nothing falls through the cracks, and knowing when to flag something up. We want someone who comes in with an AI-mindset. You don't need to be an expert. You need to be curious enough to learn the tools that make this role faster and sharper over time.

What You'll Own

• Staffing Support - Post openings, schedule interviews, and coordinate logistics for hiring pick/pack associates and machine operators, keeping the pipeline moving for the team that owns final decisions.
• Onboarding Coordination - Run new hire onboarding and orientation logistics, from paperwork to first-day walkthroughs, so every new Grover starts organized and welcomed.
• Offboarding Support - Handle the administrative steps of offboarding, including paperwork, system updates, and checklist follow-through.
• Employee Relations Assistance - Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions, document details accurately, and elevate employee relations issues to the Manager or Generalist rather than handling them independently.
• HR Program Administration - Support the day-to-day administration of compensation, benefits, and leave programs by processing paperwork, updating records, and following established procedures.
• Compliance Tracking - Track and document required training completion, including safety training, anti-harassment training, and PIT certifications, and maintain accurate leave, workers' compensation, and OSHA records.
• Engagement Support - Help Team Member committees plan and execute engagement activities, handling logistics and coordination.
• Payroll & Benefits Support - Assist with bi-weekly payroll data entry and timekeeping accuracy for hourly and salaried employees, and support open enrollment logistics, including distributing and collecting materials.
• Systems & Tools - Learn ADP and other HR systems well enough to handle routine data entry, reporting, and record-keeping, and bring a willingness to pick up AI-enabled tools as they become part of the team's workflow.

About You

• 2-4 years of Human Resources or administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable following established processes with accuracy and consistency, and knowing when to ask questions instead of guessing.
• Willing to learn new systems quickly.
• Familiarity with Greenhouse or ADP is a plus, but a real willingness to learn them is required.
• Curious about AI, even if you're not yet fluent. You don't need the answers on day one, you need the appetite to find them.
• Reliable and detail-oriented, with the humility to flag a mistake early rather than let it compound.
• The kind of person associates feel comfortable approaching with a question.
• Strong communication skills and the flexibility to adapt as the warehouse's day-to-day needs shift.
• Even Better if You Have Coursework or early certification progress toward SHRM-CP or similar.
• Experience supporting a warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution center environment specifically.
• Exposure to AI or automation tools used in HR operations.
• Experience in a role where accuracy and follow-through mattered as much as speed.
