Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced HR professional in Los Angeles to lead benefits administration, leave management, onboarding, and HR policy interpretation. You will handle confidential inquiries, support recruiting, and maintain accurate HR records while ensuring legal compliance.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of HR experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services setting, and may hold PHR/SHRM-CP certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of HR experience, preferably in law firms or professional services supporting multiple offices.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits and coordinate with third-party vendors.
• Manage leave of absence programs, accommodations, and related documentation.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
• Interpret and communicate HR policies and procedures.
• Respond to employee HR inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Manage offboarding processes, including documentation and system updates.
• Support recruiting efforts through interview coordination and candidate communication.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Assist with performance review cycles and HR projects focused on process improvement.
