Job summary

Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. is seeking a Human Resources & Recruiting Manager to lead the daily operations of the HR department.

You will oversee recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, workplace safety administration, and employee development initiatives. The position is full-time in Newark, NJ, with standard hours Monday–Friday and a competitive compensation package ranging from $85,000 to $100,000 per year, plus comprehensive benefits and growth

• Working knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new software systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, applicant tracking, resume reviews, candidate screening, interviewing, and offer administration
• Ensure applicant tracking systems are maintained with accurate and current candidate information
• Oversee and manage onboarding activities, ensuring all documentation and processes are completed accurately
• Coordinate new employee workplace setup and training programs
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and workplace issues
• Implement and communicate company policies and procedures to employees
• Assist with employee coaching, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, suspensions, and terminations
• Coordinate performance management, corrective actions, employee development, and KPI initiatives
• Maintain employee records, HR policies, and the employee handbook
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Manage I-9 administration and conduct periodic I-9 audits
• Monitor employee attendance, benefits administration, required postings, and HR compliance requirements
• Address employee concerns regarding payroll, benefits, sick time, and time-off requests
• Assist in the development and maintenance of Human Resources and Recruiting Standard Operating Procedures
• Manage workplace injury reporting, workers' compensation claims, and OSHA documentation from initial incident through claim resolution
• Other duties as assigned
