Job summary

Synchron, LLC provides HR program support to the U.S. Navy Team Submarine at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. You will manage personnel actions, assist with recruitment, and track workforce demographics to support leadership decisions.

The role requires Navy Civilian Personnel experience, knowledge of Federal Hiring Authorities, and an active DoD Secret clearance. Telework options may be available after onboarding, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience with Navy Civilian Personnel.
• Experience with MS Teams and MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Knowledge of Federal Hiring Authorities.
• BS/BA degree in business, management, or technical field (or commensurate experience).
• Active DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Process all Request for Personnel Actions, including recruitment, awards, reassignments, and separations that result in the issuance of Notices of Personnel Action or SF50.
• Support recruitment efforts to fill vacant positions using standard hiring practices and advise hiring managers on the best hiring or appointment authority to use in filling vacant positions.
• Create and maintain metrics of workforce demographics used in organizational briefs and advise management on the results to strengthen workforce diversity.
• Serve as the PEO’s central point-of-contact for command-wide data calls requiring responses and report results to leadership.
• Evaluate manpower needs of each program office, make position management recommendations, analyze internal processes related to workforce strategy and billet control, and process all personnel actions for Team Submarine.
