Job summary

Guarantee Roofing and Sheet Metal of SD is seeking an HR & Payroll Administrator to own full-cycle HR and weekly payroll. You will be the primary contact on pay, benefits, and HR questions, ensuring compliance and meticulous records. The role also supports accounting tasks and requires comfort with timekeeping and ERP systems.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of HR/payroll experience, confidentiality, and strong Excel/Office 365 skills, with a detail-oriented, professional approach.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on HR and payroll experience in construction or hourly workforces.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state wage and hour laws and payroll tax filings.
• Audit experience and ability to handle confidential information discretely.
• Experience with certified payroll, prevailing wage, or union payroll is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for field and office staff with accuracy and timeliness.
• Review timeclock data and resolve punch or job-code errors with supervisors.
• Administer deductions, benefits contributions, and retirement withholdings.
• Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax filings in-house.
• Maintain employee master data and payroll ERP records.
• Support HR lifecycle activities: recruiting, onboarding, and separations.
