Jobot is seeking an HR/Payroll Manager to lead weekly payroll for roughly 500 employees across California in an on-site Long Beach role. The position covers payroll processing, HR operations, benefits coordination, and policy administration.

You'll ensure compliance with wage laws, manage unions where applicable, and partner with Finance to improve reporting and processes. A strong benefits package and 401k match are included.

Qualifications

• Experience leading payroll for a large CA-based workforce.
• Strong knowledge of wage-and-hour laws and payroll taxes.
• Proven ability to implement HR and payroll improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate and timely weekly payroll for ~500 employees in California.
• Manage full-cycle payroll including hours, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local laws and union requirements.
• Lead HR operations, onboarding, performance management, and policy implementation.
• Drive benefits administration and payroll-related reporting with Finance.
