Job summary

The Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office in Dayton, OH seeks a full-time HR Administrator to manage personnel and payroll tasks, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance under the supervision of the Prosecuting Attorney.

Responsibilities include maintaining personnel files, payroll for approximately 140 employees, HRIS data entry, confidentiality, and coordinating staff events. A minimum high school diploma with HR experience is required; a HR degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma, supplemented by experience and education in business administration and office procedures.
  • Ability to operate all office equipment and use Microsoft Office software.
  • Previous experience in a Human Resource role and/or Human Resource degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post vacant full-time and seasonal position descriptions and participate in recruitment and onboarding.
  • Prepare, audit and submit bi-weekly payroll for approximately 140 employees.
  • Maintain attendance records and employee profiles; manage timecards and leave in HRIS.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information and handle sensitive documents.
  • Coordinate office events and employee functions; work with Directors and staff as needed.
