Job summary

The Nuclear Company in Lexington, VA is seeking an HR Generalist to serve as the operational backbone of our HR team, delivering hands-on support across onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, data accuracy, and policy governance for a geographically distributed workforce.

You will partner with senior HR leaders, own UKG stewardship, support compliance and employee relations, and help execute enterprise talent programs while coordinating with our Field Services and relocation partners.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in an HR generalist, HR coordinator, or HR operations role.
• Leaves of absence administration including FMLA and disability coordination.
• Experience with an HRIS platform (UKG strongly preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and follow-through in deadline-driven cases across two client groups.
• Discretion handling confidential employee information and sensitive situations.

Responsibilities

• Administer all leaves of absence and coordinate disability claims.
• Manage UKG data changes, leave tracking, and terminations as a super-user.
• Own onboarding end-to-end and lead offboarding processes.
• Support HR compliance and maintain the employee handbook and policies.
• Provide first-line employee relations support and assist enterprise talent programs.
