Job Summary
Responsible for supporting administrative functions in the club, including participation in hiring, facilitating orientation, managing benefit enrollment, maintaining HR records, scheduling, and payroll. Support the application of club policies, procedures, and compliance. Act with honesty, integrity, and a member‑centric focus to ensure a safe and positive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in weekly meetings with the Center of Excellence and set up second interviews for Club Manager/Assistant Club Manager.
- Conduct new team member orientation and facilitate training and communications for all new hires.
- Administer personnel paperwork including new hire, wage increases, promotions, terminations, workers’ compensation, and unemployment claims.
- Control scheduling for all hourly team members and ensure accurate, timely payroll processing.
- Maintain club performance management, disciplinary logs, and personnel files.
- Assist in club talent acquisition, including hiring table setup, referral programs, and community outreach.
- Conduct benefit orientations and manage annual benefits enrollment.
- Process leave of absence (LOA) requests and coordinate with LOA Specialist and external vendors.
- Handle team member inquiries, address non‑complex issues, and facilitate escalation when needed.
- Maintain breakroom and HR office presentation to GOLD standards and support recognition/engagement events.
- Ensure legal compliance postings are current and conduct self‑audits of club operations.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures and perform additional administrative tasks as required.
- Provide regular, predictable, full attendance as an essential function of the role.
Qualifications
- Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Prior experience in Human Resources, administration, or clerical roles preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, MS Excel, Email) required.
Job Conditions
- Work largely on hard surfaces, occasionally moving, lifting up to 30 pounds, and handling heavy objects with assistance.
- Work in an indoor area with temperature extremes and loud noise; occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
- Requires frequent computer use and some repetitive lifting, twisting, bending, reaching, and pulling.
Compensation
Pay range: $20.50 - $25.63 per hour (varies by location, education, experience, and qualifications). The company also values familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT but encourages authentic self‑presentation in applications.
