Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience supporting leaders as HR Business Partner or HR Manager.
  • Strong employee relations experience including investigations and performance management.
  • Ability to coach and influence leaders across multiple levels.
  • Experience using HR metrics and workforce data to drive business decisions.

Responsibilities

The HR Manager provides guidance on employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, talent development, and workforce planning, ensuring HR programs and initiatives support both day-to-day operations and long-term business objectives.

A key responsibility of this role is driving talent and leadership development by partnering with leaders to create meaningful Career Development Plans (CDPs), facilitate talent reviews, identify high-potential employees, and implement development strategies that strengthen organizational capability and succession readiness.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on employee relations, performance management, leadership effectiveness, organizational design, and change management.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action, performance improvement, and policy interpretation while ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Coach leaders on effective performance management practices, accountability, communication, employee engagement, and leadership development.
  • Facilitate the Career Development Planning (CDP) process by partnering with leaders and employees to identify development opportunities, career pathways, and growth plans that align individual aspirations with business needs.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and business leaders on workforce planning, hiring strategies, onboarding, and organizational growth initiatives.
  • Analyze workforce data and HR metrics—including turnover, engagement, performance, retention, and employee relations trends—to identify opportunities and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Support organizational change initiatives by helping leaders navigate team changes, restructures, and evolving business priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and documentation standards while promoting consistent HR practices across the business.
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and high-performance culture by supporting employee engagement initiatives, leadership development, and recognition efforts.
Professional Experience & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience supporting leaders in a business partner or HR Manager capacity.
  • Strong employee relations experience, including investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and influence leaders across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Experience using HR metrics and workforce data to identify trends and recommend business-focused solutions.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance employee advocacy and business objectives.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive employee matters.

Pay Rate:

$107,000 - $139,000/yr depending on background and experience.

This position is eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on Company performance.
