This role is a key professional position that reports directly to the office of the Regional Business Manager. The individual in this position is tasked with executing various responsibilities and performing essential functions related to the administrative support of a regional environmental protection field office. Acting as the primary liaison for the Bureau of Human Resources, the incumbent addresses all personnel management and administrative issues concerning the staff in the Southeast Region. Additionally, this role includes providing both technical and administrative oversight to a Clerical Supervisor 2, who is responsible for delivering clerical assistance to the Regional Director’s Office and the Air Quality Program. The incumbent also serves as the reviewing officer for the Clerical Supervisor’s team, which includes a Clerical Assistant 2 in the Human Resources unit tasked with timekeeping and various personnel administrative and clerical duties, both during telework and in‑office visits, as well as overseeing the front desk receptionist, also a Clerical Assistant 2.

Work Schedule and Additional Information
  • Full‑time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch break.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home part‑time up to two days per week. To telework, you must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Norristown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
