Job summary

CAPTEK is seeking a Human Resources Generalist in California to manage workers’ compensation, leave administration, and HR systems (Dayforce). This role supports talent acquisition needs for Cerritos and La Mirada locations, ensuring compliance with CA and federal employment laws.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of HR Generalist experience, strong communication in English and Spanish, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish communication for internal customers.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of CA and Federal employment laws.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business Admin preferred.
• 4+ years HR Generalist experience preferred.
• HR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages workers' compensation administration for all locations from inception of claim to settlement.
• Collaborates with Health and Safety team to handle the interactive process and leaves of absence.
• Submits work-related injuries to insurance company within required timeframe.
• Partners with workers compensation adjusters for claim review & follow up, weekly.
• Tracks and reports on workers compensation metrics, in conjunction with the Health and Safety team.
• Performs HR transactions in Dayforce and WC Admin Site.
• Completes HR Scorecard monthly.
• Manages leave of absence administration and records for Cerritos and La Mirada locations.
• Processes and administers Federal and State laws related to leaves of absence (PDLA, CFRA, FMLA, ADA, WC etc.).
• Participates in the performance management/compensation processes.
• Develops and implements HR development programs for supervisors.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
• Supports internal customers with Dayforce and employment policy questions.
• Escalates employee relation matters to the HR Operations Manager.
• As necessary, handles exempt-level professional and non-exempt recruiting to support business needs.
• Maintains I-9 files
• In absence of HR Operations Manager, reviews bi-weekly payroll for accuracy and completeness.
