Job summary

NCCO, based in Saint Paul, MN, seeks a Human Resources Generalist to partner with leadership and support payroll, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day HR operations, maintain employee data, and help drive DEI and engagement programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
• HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus
• 3+ years of experience in human resources or a related administrative role
• Practiced knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and best practices
• Experience with HRIS platforms
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and semi-monthly payroll and coordinate with Accounting.
• Support HRIS administration and data maintenance.
• Assist with full-cycle recruitment and onboarding activities.
• Manage employee benefits programs and monthly billing.
• Answer employee questions on payroll, benefits, and policies.
• Support employee relations, leave administration, and compliance.
• Coordinate HR programs including DEI and engagement initiatives.
• Assist with training and development programs.
• Administer HR policies and employment verifications.
• Provide HR support for special projects and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
