Job summary

United Refrigeration Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist to support onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits, compliance, training, and HR policy implementation in our Philadelphia-area operations.

You will partner with the HR team to maintain records, manage benefits open enrollment, assist payroll, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide data-driven HR reports. Strong Excel skills and experience with HRIS (ADP Vantage) are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2-5+ years in human resources, business administration or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with HRIS platforms (ADP Vantage preferred).
• Knowledge of HR and payroll compliance (EEO-1, FLSA, ACA) is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist HR Director/Manager with key department initiatives.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new employees.
• Maintain employee records and data accuracy in HR systems.
• Audit benefits and support open enrollment throughout the year.
• Assist payroll by supporting help desk during outages and processing days.
• Address employee relations issues and provide policy guidance.
• Assist with performance management processes, evaluations, and development plans.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and policies.
• Coordinate employee training and professional development initiatives.
• Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation for management.
• Support employee engagement initiatives.
• Assist with disciplinary actions, investigations, and conflict resolution as needed.
