This role partners closely with leadership to ensure effective administration of benefits, leave programs, employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and HR operations. The HR Generalist II plays a key role in maintaining accurate employee records, supporting policy implementation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality HR service aligned with Sea Mar’s mission and values.**Key Responsibilities:*** Administer employee benefits (health, life, 401(k)), COBRA, and enrollment changes* Manage leave programs including FMLA, L&I/Workers’ Compensation, and unemployment* Support recruitment, onboarding, and new employee orientation* Process wage changes and ensure compensation accuracy in alignment with union contract guidelines* Maintain and audit personnel files* Utilize the **Workday system** for employee data management, reporting, compensation updates, benefits administration, and compliance tracking* Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and employee relations matters* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws* Support regulatory reporting requirements (EEO-1 and others)* Maintain accurate and current job descriptions**Qualifications:*** Associate degree in HR or Business required (Bachelor’s preferred)* Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience* Strong knowledge of employment and labor laws* Experience with Workday systems, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills* Professional certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred* Bilingual English/Spanish preferred**Work Schedule & Environment:** This is a full-time, **on-site position** in a professional office setting.
