Job summary

Power Technique North America LLC is seeking an HR Generalist to deliver responsive, employee-centered HR support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and HR administration. You will partner with employees and leaders, ensuring compliant operations and a positive workplace, reporting to the HR Manager.

Hybrid role based in Rock Hill, SC, with 1 day remote and 4 days on-site.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of progressive HR experience required in an industrial environment.
  • 4-year college degree with concentration in Human Resources.
  • PHR/SPHR/GPHR preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly HR reporting and data for AFF/EEO programs.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting: posting, sourcing, phone screens, interviews.
  • Support recruiting improvements via digital strategies and sourcing on Indeed/LinkedIn.
  • Coordinate onboarding: offers, background checks, I-9/E-Verify, equipment.
  • Administer training programs and onboarding pathways.
  • Manage offboarding processes and exit documentation.
  • Maintain HRIS data, org charts, and personnel files with integrity.
  • Serve as HR resource on policies, benefits, timekeeping, and leave.
  • Coordinate employee engagement, recognition, and events.
  • Manage Summer Internship Program recruitment and coordination.
  • Facilitate HR training and support leadership development.
  • Provide backup payroll support.

Your role

As an HR Generalist, your mission is to deliver responsive, employee-focused HR support while ensuring efficient and compliant HR operations. You will partner with employees and leaders across areas such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and HR administration to help foster a positive workplace and support business success. This position reports to the HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage monthly HR reporting and prepare employee/applicant data for Affiantive Action Plan requirements.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting, including posting jobs, sourcing candidates, conducting phone screens, and coordinating interviews.
  • Support recruiting process improvements through digital recruiting strategies, social media outreach, and proactive sourcing on platforms such as Indeed and LinkedIn.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, including offer letters, background checks, drug screenings, onboarding documentation, I-9/E-Verify compliance, and equipment setup.
  • Assign and maintain new hire training programs and onboarding learning paths.
  • Administer employee offboarding processes, including termination documentation and exit interviews.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, organizational charts, and personnel files while ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Serve as a primary HR resource for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, procedures, timekeeping, and leave programs.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and company-sponsored events.
  • Manage the Summer Internship Program, including recruitment, program development, onboarding, and coordination with educational institutions.
  • Facilitate HR training programs and support onboarding and development initiatives for employees and leaders.
  • Provide backup payroll support.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Occasional travel may be required

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Your Skills And Experience

5 years of progressive HR experience is required, preferably working in an industrial company.

The position requires a 4-year college or university degree with a concentration in Human Resources and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHR, SPHR and/or GPHR certification or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
