We pursue these passions because ALLO leaders have created a workplace where folks are valued, ideas are heard, and leaders and teammates show up for each other at work and in life.

The HR Generalist is an integral, hands-on role that provides day-to-day Human Resources support to our teammates and people leaders. The role is critical in supporting a dynamic and collaborative culture, executing people initiatives, providing strong internal customer support, and contributing to HR functional excellence and process improvement. This position serves as a go-to resource for teammates and people leaders, helping navigate employee needs, policies, processes, and day-to-day people matters. Responsibilities are ever changing to meet business needs, but the steadfast core function is delivering a consistent and positive teammate experience while supporting HR Business Partners in the execution of people priorities across the organization. A successful HR Generalist will build strong working relationships, provide thoughtful and timely support, identify opportunities to improve the teammate experience, and ensure people practices are executed consistently and effectively. They will embody ALLO's core values in all decision-making opportunities, ensuring our teammate experience aligns with our values of exceptional, local, hassle-free, and honesty.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a go-to HR resource for teammates and people leaders, providing timely, thoughtful support across day-to-day people needs, policies, and HR processes.
  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners to support organizational priorities, employee relations needs, and the consistent execution of people practices within the teams they support.
  • Provide guidance to teammates and people leaders regarding employment matters, including policy and procedure interpretation, performance coaching, and corrective action - escalating complex or higher-risk matters to the HR Business Partner.
  • Build trust in the HR function by providing a positive, accessible, and solutions-oriented experience while maintaining professionalism and a high level of confidentiality.
  • Respond promptly to teammate and people leader inquiries with a strong focus on internal customer service, clear communication, and appropriate follow-through.
  • Support employee relations matters by gathering information, maintaining appropriate documentation, identifying relevant policies and practices, and partnering with HR Business Partners on resolution when needed.
  • Support the rollout and execution of HR programs, projects, and new initiatives, helping ensure effective communication and consistent implementation across the organization.
  • Develop an understanding of other HR functions, such as engagement surveys, workers compensation, and HRIS management to support the team in the ownership and day-to-day support of these initiatives.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and execute HR processes consistently, accurately, and in accordance with established policies and practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred, but not required.

EXPERIENCE

3–5 years of hands-on Human Resources experience, with demonstrated experience supporting employee relations, performance management, HR policies and processes, and/or HR systems. Previous experience in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or similar people-support role preferred. Demonstrated ability to independently manage day-to-day responsibilities while recognizing when escalation or additional partnership is needed. Experience building strong working relationships with teammates, people leaders, and cross-functional partners. Experience supporting HR programs, projects, or organizational initiatives preferred. Experience working within an HRIS and maintaining accurate employee documentation and data.

Strong judgment and ability to navigate sensitive or confidential employee matters with professionalism and discretion. Highly adaptable, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities. Comfortable navigating ambiguity, applying established practices to varying situations, and adapting to changing priorities and assignments. Strong internal customer-service mindset with a focus on creating a positive and consistent teammate experience.
